This picture shows a nuclear power plant which is a thermal power plant that uses the one or two nuclear reactants. They use these nuclear reactants to heat water and make steam to turn a steam turbine. the big cylinder shown on the right is the cooling tower which releases steam from the non-nuclear side of the power plant. December 20, 1951 was the first time nuclear reactants ever created electricity.

This picture is a great example of light because it shows a fluorescent lightbulb . Which is 6 times brighter than incandescent Lightbulbs and uses much less energy . The way the florescent lightbulb works is that the electrodes that are on both sides of the light bulb interact with the tube which has gas in it so they cause a reaction which releases photons which then creates visible light.
